YOU??

An excerpt from my training journal (05/16/1989)…

“Look inside yourself. See what’s there. Confront it. This is what must be done. One must know both the light & the dark. Examine them closely. Then chose your path. Learn to exist within both without one dominating the other. Until you can do this, you are not one with control. Acceptance of the dark must be realised. Control of both must be attained.

Once you set your path, determine your goal on that path. Be determined. Let no one hamper your progress. Share your goal only with those who you can trust. You may suffer setbacks, obstacles & abuse from those who know. But only let these fuel your determination. If you want it, it can be attained. Hang in there and never, never quit. Even when it seems darkest a light can (and will) penetrate. Grasp it and follow your dream.

Do not attain your goal through selfish means or for selfish reasons. Remember with great power comes great responsibility. Always think of others first and learn to forgive. I am told this is the hardest lesson and I‘m sure that it is. At least try though. Live by morality, honor, unselfishness, love and courage. Never turn away from those in need. Always help them even if it means the ultimate sacrifice…”

My younger self still teaches me today the lessons that I need to hear. :)
