PRIMARY TARGETS

In self-defense a good understanding of the body anatomy is crucial. I don’t want to hit for hitting’s sake. I want to hit with purpose. Everything is cause and effect. Know what you are hitting and know what effect it should cause.

Primary Targets:

  1. Eyes - soft and vulnerable to any stabbing attack (fingers, thumbs, pencil, etc.); Effect: impaired vision/blinded.

  2. Ears - open to any cupping slap type attack (open palm slap); Effect: inner ear damage/balance.

  3. Throat - use sharp quick hits with the arm/hand/fist (throat punch); Effect: swollen trachea/breathing difficulties.

  4. Neck - the sides and back of the neck are vulnerable to forearm smash/fluid shockwave;
    Effect: unconsciousness/conconsions.

  5. Groin: easy to hit with any type of slap/bash attack (open hand or fist/knee); Effect: extreme pain and head lowers.

  6. Ankles: a bit harder to get to but can be attacked using a stomping motion (edge/flat of foot); Effect: broken/sprained ankle/loss of balance and mobility.
